Nick is Director and Head of Translational Research at CSL Limited and is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Melbourne. Nick has more than 20 years experience in cytokine biology and drug development. He completed his PhD in the Department of Medicine, University of Melbourne before joining DNAX Research Institute (Merck), Palo Alto, California working on novel cytokines and human immunology. He then worked at Elan Pharmaceuticals, South San Francisco leading a team screening for novel therapeutics. In 2008 he joined CSL Limited and is currently Director, Head of Translational Research. His work has contributed to the development of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies for various diseases, including acute myeloid leukemia, lupus, asthma and other inflammatory conditions.
