Paul Foster

Professor Foster holds the chair of immunology at the University of Newcastle, Australian, and is the Director of the Priority Research Center for Asthma and Respiratory Disease. His research interests focus on understanding fundamental molecular and cellular process, which regulate inflammation in response to infection and in a range of respiratory diseases such as asthma, fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Professor Foster's activities have been supported through grants from the NHMRC (program and project grants), Australian Research Council (Discovery and LIEF grants), Human Frontiers Science Foundation, and through the CRC for Asthma and Airways.
